As a traveler and former diving instructor, I’ve witnessed firsthand the quiet harm that travel can bring—to coral reefs, to sacred sites, and to the delicate harmony of local life.
Japan is a place of living traditions, thoughtful design, and unspoken courtesy—yet growing waves of unmindful tourism are putting pressure on the very spirit people come to seek.
